Projects
CANH is involved in a range of projects to build
the capability and capacity of its member organisations.
Overview
On a yearly basis, CANH receives funding from a range of
government agencies, philanthropic organisations and other key
stakeholder groups to coordinate a range of projects for its
members. It also initiates projects on behalf of its members in
line with the strategic priorities of the Association.

Campaign
CANH and its member houses and centres will be implementing a
comprehensive campaign from August - October, 2009 to raise
awareness of the value of the sector as a powerful and effective
partner with government in building socially and economically
viable and sustainable communities. For more

Sector Development
CANH is involved actively in developing the capability and
capacity of its member organisations and the sector as a whole.
The annual CANH Strengthening Local Communities Conference is a
major sector development activity which attracts approximately 120
delegates from across the state. For more

Health and Well-Being
Activities that focus on the health and well-being of
individuals and communities, are a priority of CANH and its member
centres and houses. To

Workforce Development
Workforce development through the provision of RPL and gap
training has been a significant project for CANH over a number of
years. The project provides opportunities for staff and volunteers
from centres and houses to gain nationally-recognised
qualifications in partnership with TAFE SA Regional. For more

Community Gardens
In 2003 - 2004 CANH was funded by the Department of Health to
coordinate a 'Community Gardening in SA' project. The outcome of
this project was the 'Community Gardening in SA Resource Kit'. For
