Events
Each year CANH and its member organisations are
involved in a range of exciting events at a local, state and
national level. These events provide an opportunity for centres and
houses to showcase the fantastic work they do on a daily basis and
to engage community members in fun and 'learningfull' programs and
activities.

Adult Learners Week
1 - 8 September 2010
Adult Learners' Week in Australia is part of an international
festival of adult learning. Each year, Adult Learners' Week is
celebrated with events and activities held at community and
neighbourhood houses and centres to promote the benefits of adult
learning in the community.
Anti-Poverty Week
17 - 23 October 2010
Held annually in October, the main aims of Anti-Poverty Week are
to:
- strengthen public understanding of the causes and consequences
of poverty and hardship around the world and in Australia;
- encourage research, discussion and action to address these
problems, including action by individuals, communities,
organisations and governments.
