Community Regional
Community Regional is a network of unique
Community Centres and Neighbourhood Houses. This network offers
skills development, learning, leisure and social interaction
opportunities through the provision of information, support,
education programs and entrepreneurial activities.
Overview
Each year Community Regional harnesses $1.7 million hours of
volunteer labour to create 19 energetic organisations which enliven
and enrich the regional communities of South Australia.
Community Centres and Neighbourhood Houses which form part of
Community Regional offer a diverse range of opportunities for local
residents to:
- learn new skills for pleasure and work
- increase their confidence, self-esteem and language skills
- meet new people and make new friends
- find out about local services
- improve their health, fitness and well-being; and
- offer their knowledge and skills as a volunteer.
