Community North
Community North is a network of unique Community
Centres and Neighbourhood Houses. This network offers skills
development, learning, leisure and social interaction opportunities
through the provision of information, support, education programs
and entrepreneurial activities.

Overview
Each year Community North harnesses $3.1 million hours of
volunteer labour to create 22 energetic organisations which enliven
and enrich the communities of northern metropolitan Adelaide.
Community Centres and Neighbourhood Houses which form part of
Community North offer a diverse range of opportunities for local
residents to:
- learn new skills for pleasure and work
- increase their confidence, self-esteem and language skills
- meet new people and make new friends
- find out about local services
- improve their health, fitness and well-being; and
- offer their knowledge and skills as a volunteer.

the confidence to go back and study again. The special part for me
is knowing that I have a safe and welcoming place to come to, and
there is support if I need it.'
